2008 HOLIDAY EVENTS FOR THE DEAF AT THE WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT

Interpreted Candlelight Processional @ Epcot (11/28-12/30):
The 2008 Candlelight Processional at Epcot will be interpreted each evening from 11/28 through 12/30. Show times are 5:00, 6:45, and 8:15 PM. Guests wishing to view this captivating show with celebrity narrators need not make any special reservations, but should arrive ONE HOUR in advance of each performance, as seating is limited. As a special bonus, Deaf actress Marlee Matlin will be the celebrity narrator on 12/10, 12/11, and 12/12.

NOTE: The Candlelight Processional requires Park admission to Epcot and priority seating (no waiting) is only available as part of a dining package (information available on the website).

Interpreted "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" @ the MAGIC KINGDOM Park (12/5, 12/12, & 12/19):
Selected events at the Magic Kingdom's "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" will be interpreted on 12/5, 12/12, and 12/19 to include "Celebrate the Season", "Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas", "Belle's Enchanted Christmas", and "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade". Interpreted performance schedules will be available at City Hall (Magic Kingdom Guest Relations).

NOTE: "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" is a special event requiring a separate admission (not included in Annual Passes or daily Park tickets).

Theme Park Holiday Enhancements:
Each of the 4 WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort Theme Parks will have themed events and shows which will be interpreted throughout the holiday season. These events and shows are in addition to our standard listing of interpreted performances on a weekly basis and include the following:
MAGIC KINGDOM Park: "Cinderella's Holiday Wish" Castle Lighting (will be interpreted at 6:30 PM on 11/10, 11/13, 11/17, 11/20, 11/24, 11/27, 12/1, 12/4, 12/8, 12/11, 12/15, 12/18, 12/22, 12/25, 12/29, and 1/1); "Celebrate the Season", "Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas", "Belle's Enchanted Christmas", & "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade" (specific show times interpreted on 12/22, 12/25, 12/29, and 1/1).
Epcot: "A Christmas Carol" performed by the World Showcase Players in the United Kingdom (specific show times interpreted on 11/28, 12/2, 12/5, 12/9, 12/12, 12/16, 12/19, 12/23, 12/26, and 12/30)

DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM Park: "Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade" (interpreted on 11/22, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, 12/27, and 1/3)
As a reminder, Sign Language interpretation is provided at all Disney Theme Parks on a rotating basis. On Sundays and Wednesdays at Disney's Hollywood Studios; Mondays and Thursdays at the MAGIC KINGDOM Park; Tuesdays and Fridays at Epcot; Saturdays at DISNEY’S ANIMAL KINGDOM Park. To utilize the interpreters at any of Disney Theme Park listed venues, Guests are asked to proceed directly to the location and follow the instructions on the Sign Language interpreted performance schedule (schedule available by contacting Mark Jones in advance or visiting Theme Park Guest Relations upon arrival).

Note that Sign Language interpretation service is not a guided tour and an interpreter will not escort groups around the Parks. Also, Disney Theme Parks have other services for Guests who are Deaf or hard of hearing include Video, Reflective (Rear Window), and Handheld Captioning at selected locations, Written Aids, and Assistive Listening Devices. At our Resorts, we have accommodations that include TTYs, closed-captioned televisions, and various alerting devices.
