April 20, 2009
Check out this website: http://www.discoverinterpreting.com
This website has been created by the National Consortium of Interpreter Education Centers to provide information about interpreting as a career.
The Regional Interpreter Education Center at Northeastern University has led the work on the Discover Interpreting initiative, working closely with Consortium members at Gallaudet University Regional Interpreter Education Center and Western Region Interpreter Education Center at Western Oregon University and El Camino Community College.
Please share this with others, especially those who would want to learn more about a possible career in interpreting.

(IDEA)
Deaf attendees welcome to participate in upcoming changes in government policies. Any person requiring special accommodations to participate in the hearings, such as a sign language

The opportunity for public comment on the proposed policies and the Part C application is available for 30 days
beginning March 16, 2009 through April 15, 2009. Comments will be accepted from the general public, including
parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities, providers of services, advocacy groups and organizations and other
stakeholders in the state.
The purpose of the public participation period is to gather comments regarding the proposed policies and the annual Part
C application for funds. The ESSO is interested in information that would assist us in maintaining a statewide,
comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary, interagency system of early intervention services for infants and toddlers
and their families.
