Supporting Deaf People online conference 2010

The seventh in the highly successful Supporting Deaf People online conference series will take place between the 3-6th February, 2010 Up to 2.0 CEUs are available for this conference.

This year's themes are:
* Effective interpreting, politeness, face and culture
* Interpreting in specialist settings
Fallout and Vicarious Trauma Keynote presenters are Kelly Murphy on 'Profanity as a function of language and strategies for interpreters' and Anna Mindess and Dr. Thomas K. Holcomb on 'Recognizing politeness differences between deaf and hearing cultures: a key to effective interpreting'. But there are many other fascinating sessions at the conference.
